Would Boris survive without leaves?

In Terns, we concluded our Science investigation.

Our question was: Would Boris survive without leaves?

Betty is a green plant with leaves.
Boris is a green plant without leaves.

Our measuring monitors kept track of the progress of the plants and we observed that Boris had grown half a cm even though he had no leaves. He also grew new leaves!

We know we have reliable results because the plants were measured the same way every time. We know our test was fair because we gave Boris and Betty the same amount of LAW (light, air and water).

We cannot wait for the next experiment!
