Buntings talk the text
After receiving a letter from the National Museum of Abu Dhabi we had to abandon our planned English lessons and start learning about the Egyptians. We have been looking an instruction text on how to build a pyramid and we used the Talk for Writing technique to immerse ourselves in the text. Have a listen to us speaking the introduction of our shared text.
Egyptian artefacts discovered at Al Yasmina
On Monday we were called out of class to go and investigate the sand pit in our school grounds. Our classroom assistants had been informed about artefacts buried deep in the sand. We had lots of fun digging in the sand to uncover the ancient artefacts. Back in class we worked in groups to identify these artefacts and we used our deep thinking skills to discuss what they tell us about the Ancient Egyptian society.
